Captain Kitten's Chicken Fried Cats have crept down from their Northern California ridgetop hideouts and onto our stage for a night that's equal parts class and crass. This five-piece Sierra Nevada outfit combines tasty chicken-pickin' guitar licks and starry pedal steel cascades with Captain Kitten's raunchy wit and creamy baritone drawl — a sound they proudly call "Texafornia outlaw country." With a bull fiddle holding down the low end and drums keeping the whole thing rolling, this is honky tonk the way it was meant to be played.
